A halcyon summer

August 13th, 2009

With less than a week to go before classes begin, it’s time to bid the summer a fond farewell.  To my surprise, this year’s turned out to be one of the better summers of my life, although perhaps I just appreciated it more.  After being so busy with school and work, I suddenly felt like I had more free time than I knew what to do with.  The result was that I was very energetic and productive for a time, but lately my inescapable doom — homework and long lectures — has been bearing down on me, and I’ve spent much more time sleeping, lounging, and lazing.  It has been nice, but I keep having to convince myself that I’m not wasting the end of my summer by letting my projects fall by the wayside.

Although I did not blog about it, I did finally go camping.  It was a good trip, but I’ve been pampered for a long time.  I like air conditioning and plump mattresses.

Anyway, I’m working on another song, so this update can just shut the heck up!
